Gentoo Build Publisher 2.5.0 is now released, along with releases for its various plugins. Speaking of plugins, when 2.0.0 was released I was very pleased that GBP had support for plugins. Back then there were (only) two plugins available: gbp-ps and gbp-notifications. Since then the plugins infrastructure has matured a bit and there are now at least 6 server- and client-side plugins available:
An interesting thing about the webhook plugin is that it also has a plugin system. In fact I've already written 2 personal plugins for gbp-webhook; maybe I'll someday release those. Plugins can also be developed for notifications to add more notification methods.
In addition to the more mature plugins system, GBP 2.5.0 also adds an "about" page to the web UI. Notably, this page displays what (server-side) plugins are installed on the system. Note that Gentoo Build Publisher is a plugin of itself!
But the 2.5.0 release isn't just about plugins. There are quite a few other internal and user-facing changes as well. So it's a worthwhile upgrade.
